It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the Central Football Federation App is now ready for Launch! After cleaning up a few functionality issues, the App is good to go. 

It will essentially function as an extension of the website and provide our members with a platform to view our material from the comfort of their phone or tablet. 

The App is listed as ‘Central Football Federation’ and can be downloaded for free at the App store or from Google Play for Android devices.

The App is structured to display 9 icons that offer simple, but helpful services. They are as follows:

1)    News – Linked directly to the CF website news feed.

 
2)    Website – Sends the user to a mobile view of the CF Website 

3)    Contact – Displays the contact details for Central Football’s Communications and Marketing Coordinator – Joseph Freeman. Enquiries will then be passed on to the appropriate member of staff.

4)    Twitter – Direct link to the CF Twitter account.

 
5)    Football Fixtures – Leads to a regional selection page. Once a region is selected by the user, they will be transferred to the applicable fixtures/results page (including Comet widget(s)).

6)    Futsal Fixtures – Exactly the same functionality as Football Fixtures, but instead directs users to our regional futsal pages. 

7)    Social – This leads to a selection page that includes all 5 regional football FB accounts. We have also included a link to the CF YouTube channel in this section. 

8)    Share - This allows users to share or self-promote the App if they wish.

 
9)    Alerts – This is perhaps the most important feature of the CF App.

This allows users to view direct notifications that are released regarding, cancellations, breaking news, and other high-priority messages. This tool allows Central Football to create push notifications that will notify people who have downloaded the App.

A high-priority message such as game cancellations or ground closures can be sent directly to Central Football members without the App being open on their devices. This will function and display exactly the same as receiving a text message.
