Winter Bowls Programme

Bowls are played on our 4 rink indoor complex for 4 months, May to August.   The winter bowls programme is very social and open to all players, including people in the district who have never played bowls before and/or only wish to play in the winter or evenings.  Members of neighbouring clubs are also very welcome to play indoor bowls at Clyde during the winter.

Afternoon Bowls

• Bowls are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon.   Monday and Wednesdays start at 1pm while Friday afternoon is a 3pm start.
• Teams of fours (or triples) on Monday and Wednesday afternoons are selected from the list of players available on the day.
• Friday afternoon teams are made up from the players available on the day.

Evening Triples Competition

The triples competition is held on Monday and Tuesday evenings starting at 6.30pm  and Thursday afternoons starting at 1pm.   Teams of 3 are entered for the 10 week programme and play-off for the ECNZ trophy and Wooden Spoon at the conclusion of the 10 week period.

Championship Events

Championship Fours, Triples, Pairs and Singles are held during the winter.
