The second sitting of the Netball NZ Zone Theory exam was held on Monday, 4th August, and it was fantastic to see such strong representation from Mainland. A total of 26 umpires from across seven of our Centres sat the exam, with an outstanding Zone pass rate of 88%, the highest across all Zones nationwide.
This is a significant increase in participation compared to the same sitting last year, which saw 19 umpires take part. This growth reflects the ongoing commitment of our Centres in developing umpiring talent and also highlights the quality of support being provided to umpires at all levels of their journey.
The efforts being made in the umpire development space are clearly making a difference, and it’s encouraging to see more officials stepping up to challenge themselves and progress through the pathway.
A huge congratulations to everyone who sat the exam – whether you passed or are continuing to work towards your goals, your dedication is making a positive impact on the game. To those who achieved a pass, well done – we look forward to seeing your Zone Theory success evolve into Zone Badges in the near future.
Keep up the great mahi – your hard work is appreciated and noticed!
