COACHING DRILLS & GAMES  

Coaching brings with it challenges and change, the modern coaching method involves allot of small games. These small games help players practice in more of a games based setting having to improvise and move versus the old fashion cone based drills. However there is still a place for cone based drills so work on something specific where you as a coach want some repetition of a skill.

The resources that will be loaded online and web links will be both drill and small games based. If you as a coach find a good drill or game or use a good game please don't hesitate to email it in so we can share it with the coaching community. Anthony at youth@hockeysouthland.co.nz

With technology now day’s video clips of hockey, skills, drills and games have gone viral. Some clips however are not of a good quality either from the coaching or the outcome. The clips that have been loaded on this site have been vetted by Hockey Southland.
