The Trust

Vision

The Colin Dale Park KartSport Development Charitable Trust International Raceway Project Vision and Purpose

The purpose of the Trust, as outlined in its deed, is to apply all or such part of the income and the capital as the Trustees shall deem appropriate to establish and promote an off-road tarmac recreation and leisure-time public facility for amateur “wheeled” pastimes in a safe and controlled environment, including, without limitation, cycling, roller-skating, radio-controlled cars, motor-cycling, karting and even tourism activities. Most importantly, the Trust facility will deliver to the Auckland community the health benefits (mind, body and spirit) and the educational benefits associated with participating in such activities.

The Trust intends to fulfil its purpose by developing, building, and managing a race track and its supporting infrastructure and facilities at Colin Dale Park, the Auckland Council-owned regional motorsport park in Manukau, Auckland. The multi-discipline facility will satisfy and deliver on the vision Councillors had nearly 20 years ago for a world-class wheeled event centre to serve Auckland and the nation.
