The Canterbury Softball Charitable Trust (CSCT) has been established to nurture and support the development of softball within the Canterbury region. As one of the largest softball communities in New Zealand the Trust has a focus on:
- Raising of funds to assist in the management, administration and promotion of future facilities
- Supporting the delivery and establishment of skill based programmes, especially for those in areas of deprivation and including all education facilities
- To organise and assist in the provision of facilities for the playing, training and development of softball skills in Canterbury
- To preserve and promote the tradition of softball by collecting and preserving records, equipment and memorabilia - recognising those that have gone before
- To provide an opportunity for legacy donations to enable all of the above
