Unfortunately, travel subsidies are no longer available from 1st July 2026.
The New Zealand Curling Association is a non-profit organisation, and opportunities such as these training camps depend on external funding. At this stage, there is no funding available to support participant travel.
With the Auckland curling facility now operational, NZCA intends to offer a similar Youth Development Training Camp in Auckland, making development opportunities more accessible to North Island athletes. Further details will be announced once arrangements have been confirmed.
Travel Fund Information:
When funding is available, the NZ Curling Association may offer travel subsidies to participants living outside the Central Otago region to assist with the cost of attending NZCA Training Camps.
Travel subsidies can only be claimed after full attendance at the Training Camp and are subject to available funding.
When available, travel subsidies are as follows:
- Dunedin - $50
- South Island - $100
- North Island - $200
Please allow at least one month for your travel subsidy application to be processed.
After submitting your application, please email the NZCA Administration Officer at support@curling.org.nz to confirm that it has been received and can be forwarded to the NZCA Board for consideration.
All travel subsidy applications are considered by the NZCA Board at its monthly meeting.
While NZCA endeavours to maintain the Travel Subsidy Fund, the availability of travel subsidies is dependent on NZCA securing external funding. As a result, travel subsidies cannot be guaranteed and may be suspended if funding is unavailable.
