Hello everybody,
That was a fun and relaxed weekend, with only 4 of us there, we did 11 courses, started at 10am, to allow for the dew to lift a bit, and we were done by 1, so we headed back for lunch, as we were so chilled it was decided to call it for the day, with Dave M deciding to head home to do some chors while Bruce cleaned his wagon and Richie and I headed back up to collect the pegs. After a couple of bits and pieces to do it was beer o'clock by 3
round results were really down to tyres, with me representing the Wairarapa club winning class 2 on 377.61, Dave M representing Windy City, winning clas 3 on 423.1, we then had Richie also in class 3 representing the Manawatu on 499.4 and Bruce representing Wellington Jeep while learning a lot about his new wagon, in class 3 on 668.1
So the season results:
Class 1 due to completing 2 rounds, manged to take it out, is Dave Seymore
Class 2 was Brendan Watchorn, doing all 4 rounds
Class 3 is Dave McGinnity with completing 3 rounds, and winning each one.
Class 4 with completing 2 rounds was Brent Ward
I am not sure if I have any 2026 Trophies but I'll see if I can make something work and get them to you.
Thanks to all those who did take part this year, we have had a few challenges with fuel prices and things, so the attendances have unfortunately been low.
Going forward, I will not be using this website platform as they are now asking $400 a year, and as the series isn't self funding at the moment its not practible to use this platform and I think, if I decide to hold another season next year, it will probably be done just via email mainly with notifications on some clubs facebook pages, the current facebook that Mark had, we can't get access to for obvious reasons.
Thanks to all the land owners who gave us access to their land and to those who run the rounds, and helped out, it is much appreciated.
Til the next time we catch up, be safe and tread lightly.
Thanks
Brendan
if you have trouble seeing the results, click on the central zone club truck challenge that is at the top of the email.
Hope to see you there
Cheers
Brendan

This series is those four wheel drivers who wish to use their everyday 4wd or club truck in a slightly competitive but fun environment.
To be eligible to enter you must
- Have a 4wd with a low range transfer box
- Have a vehicle with a current rego and a current WOF
- Have a crash helmet
- Be a current member of the NZFWDA
The series has been going for over 15 years with competitors from all over the southern North Island. Initially for members of the Central Zone, it is now open to any member of the NZFWDA.
Entrants compete in one of 4 classes - depending on what traction aids and tyre size they have. There are courses that challenge the novice driver and those more experienced.
It's a lot of fun so check under the various tabs to see when the next event is on, check out the rules as to which class you would be in, and come and join us for some fun.
To be able to download the event information, you have to sign in as a member using the "Members" button at the bottom centre of this page (it is in grey, so can be hard to see) . It's written in light grey so look carefully. Once in, you will see "***MEMBERS ONLY*** tab - go there.
If not a member and would like to be, please email Brendan at sheety@inspire.net.nz to get the password. Please state what club you are affiliated to the NZFWDA. It will be checked. An email with the password will be sent to you as soon as possible.
