2021/2022 Committee Announcement!

Without further ado, we are pleased to announce our committee for the 2021/2022 Softball Season!

President: We are proud to announce everyone's softball Uncle/Koro back into the Presidents spot Mr Kelvin Hemopo!

Kelv has been on the Drury committee as a Member, Vice President and President for the past 21 years. Today he is the drive behind our club, ensuring we keep the dream and the passion alive from all our old legend members! We are proud to have your loyalty Old Head!

Vice President: After 25 or so years playing, coaching and volunteering for the club we are excited to welcome Matthew Tupaea. Matthew is a second-generation Drury Player, he carries the history & memories of our Tupaea whanau extending their story with his children our third! We are blessed to retain generational support within our club!

Treasurer: Retaining her spot as our trusted bookkeeper Mrs Vivienne Savage aka Aunty/Nan Dilly!

Vivienne has been a part of the Drury Softball Committee for the past 7 years as a committee member, secretary and treasurer. She's our number cruncher, policy driver and problem solver for the club we couldn't do it without her.

Secretary: After pushing her way onto the committee 4 years ago, we have decided that we cannot do without her, our secretary Shana Patangata. She is the idea generator & the mother hen of the Club. Her passion for the game and for whanau orientated sports has led her to join the Counties Committee ensuring she looks after the interest of not only our Club but all whanau orientated clubs of the Association.

Senior Delegate: After a great year of rebirthing our senior section, specifically Premier Adam Phillips made a huge commitment to us in 2019 coming on board as our senior delegate since then he has confidently maintained our two senior teams taking them to multiple tournaments and exuding our Drury Values we are pleased to retain him for the 2021/2022 season. Adam has some awesome goals this season that align with the clubs. He has also been very instrumental in supporting our junior teams and getting the senior members involved in our junior activities.

Junior Delegate: Excited to announce that after pushing him into the position last year, we have managed to retain Josh Johnson as the Junior Delegate. Josh's confidence has grown in leaps and bounds and now he is pushing the agenda of the Junior teams like a professional of 20 years. Josh's drive for this year is ensuring that our Coach's & Managers are fully supported so will be instrumental in putting together our training plan for coaches & managers.

Committee Member: The quiet one in the corner our lovely delicate Aunty/Nan Cindy Hemopo, with all intentions to support, nourish and push her Mokopuna to achieve their full potential, while letting them get away with all. Aunty Cindy has been a part of the Drury Softball committee for 7 years and counting. She can't get away and we won't let her! Good for a cuddle always.

Committee Member: Finally the biggest warmest welcome to the newest member of our committee, the Lovely Nelz Stanley. Nelz has been a part of the club for the past three seasons as a parent and was never shy to put her hand up to help the coaches and committee. After a season of being dropped in to manage our Under 13 team, we again dropped her in with the committee. We are excited to have Nelz on board this season and we hope for many more to come!

As you can see we have retained many years of softball knowledge whilst bringing along new and fresh talent & ideas.

We have a very dedicated committee this year and look forward to seeing all our returning players and welcoming new players with open arms.

Stayed tuned for our mission statement & our registration form.
