Ellis Creek Farm is the family farm for three generations of the Thorpe family in Golden Bay for nearly 90 years. They bring fresh cuts of beef and lamb as well as free range eggs to the Nelson Farmers Market.

Ellis Creek Farm aims to grow high quality food in an environmentally sustainable and ethical manner.  They wish to sell the farm produce to people who likewise have an interest in eating local ethically raised food grown in harmony with nature.  

They have an onsite abbattoir which enablesthem to kill their animals in the most humane and low-stress environment possible, with no long-haul cattle trucks or dirty great factories.
