Dear Parent/Guardian

Netball this year will be held on Saturdays for Year 1, Year 2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 teams. The season will begin on JUNE 12th (Five weeks at the end of Term 2 and five weeks at the start of Term 3). Netball will look different this year with Taieri College Courts out of action due to renovations. I will be in touch about where netball will be played on Saturdays once this has been confirmed.

Registrations are due by April 16th please. This is so teams can be well organised for the season. Renee Bacon from Netball South is coming to run a session for the year 5 & 6 players in May, and there are also coaching clinics for those that are interested.

FEES

Registration fees will need to be paid by May 14th to ensure your child can play this season.If you require assistance with paying your fee, please see the office to make payment arrangements.

Fees for this year are as follows:

Year 5/6: $30.00

Year 3/4: $30.00

Year 2: $20.00

Year 1 (Fun Ferns): $15

Netball Set-up:

Year 1 Fun Ferns is skills-based and held in the indoor training centre at Taieri College.

Year 2 games are played on a shortened court with 5 on 5 from late morning to early afternoon.

Year 3/4 games are played 6 a-side.

Year 5/6 games are played 7 a-side.

COACHES

We would love to have parents to help coach and manage our teams (without this support our team entries will be limited). We will have coaching support available and you may even like to share the coaching role with someone else (please let us know if this is an option for you!). We are hoping to have a coaching clinic or two (before or during) the season.
