Ferrymead pony club was formed in 1958. Situated in Duncan Park, Ferrymead Pony Club provides fabulous  facilities, quality coaching and a fun, friendly equestrian environment for our youth members in this unique urban setting.

We have limited on-site grazing available to actively involved, Ferrymead Pony Club members up to 25 years old. 

All youth members receive coaching, support and a fun social time at our monthly rallies. Our members work through their Pony Club certificates and there is the opportunity to represent Ferrymead Pony Club at team competitions. All riding members can ride on our grounds and use the club facilities in between rallies and events.

The success of our Club relies on the committment of our members, and supporters. We need parents, adult members and riding members over 18 years old to be on our committee, and require all members and their families to help at our working bees, rallies, competitions and fundraisers throughout the year.

We offer an adult riding subscription so riders over 25 years old can enjoy the grounds and facilities too.

We have a huge 75mx45m all-weather, flood-lit arena. There is also a smaller all-weather arena at the back of our grounds.  Covered yards, a tie up area and a wash bay are available at the front of the grounds and we have more yards located up the back to make grooming, tacking up, clipping or vet treatment safe and easy.

Grazing members are allocated locker space for gear. Hacking on the club's pipeline and hill tracks provide variety and fitness for horses. We have a beautiful set of show jumps and our cross country course offers a range of heights on varying terrain. We have a water jump too.

Our members range from lead rein to accomplished senior riders. Members are currently working through D - B certificates. We offer coaching across different equine disciplines including showing, eventing, dressage, show jumping, and ponyclub games.

Temporary grazing may be available. This is at the discretion of the Ferrymead Pony Club Committee. Please contact us to enquire regarding availability and pricing.
