This season we are providing options to play both Rippa rugby and Tackle rugby at GTEC Juniors.

Rippa Rugby

Rippa Rugby for Under 6’s, Under 7’s and new in 2019 there is the option to play Rippa Rugby at Under 9’s  and Under 11’s age groups.

Rippa Rugby is a very safe, non-contact, easy to play game for both boys and girls. It's fun and exciting for all involved and our inhouse competition (Carlton and Grammar TEC Under 6) greatly reduces the requirement to travel. While the rules are simple and the game easy to learn, Rippa Rugby will promote excellent ball handling and running skills and provide the chance for the kids to participate in a team game. 

In 2019 the Auckland Rugby Union is running a Rippa Rugby pilot for Under 9 and Under 11 age groups. At this stage the module will run in the clubs based in the eastern suburbs, once again reducing the requirement to travel. We are excited about this new initative by the ARU and hope to enter teams in both grades so we'd love you to be involved in this. Click here to register for Rippa Rugby.

Tackle Rugby

Grammar TEC Juniors offers tackle rugby for girls and boys aged 7 – 10 years old and will be fielding teams in the following grades in the 2019 season Under 8’s, Under 9’s, Under 10’s.  To play tackle rugby you can register by clicking on the link below and then coming in to the club for a weigh-in on one of these days:

Wednesday 20th February 4pm – 6pm

Wednesday 27th February 4pm – 6pm

Saturday 2nd March 12pm – 2pm

Saturday 9th March 12pm - 2pm

The Grammar TEC Juniors are run by a very proactive committee of parents, offer great coaches and teams that are competitive on the field, in what is a fun environment to play the game. Click here to register for Tackle Rugby.
