Meet the Whanau - Scott Scrafton
In today's lockdown 10 questions we caught up with Scott Scrafton. Scott has had a fantastic playing career progressing from the Premier team to NZ U20s, Auckland Mitre 10, The BLUES and now with the Hurricanes. Scotty loves his club and always comes back to see us when he has spare time, well done Scraff we are very proud of your achievements to date!
➡️At what age did you start playing rugby?Around 5 or 6 involved chasing the big brother around for the pill.
➡️Who is/was your role model whilst growing up and why?Huge fan of my grandad.. just always there supporting me good or bad.. love what he's about.
➡️What’s been your favorite rugby moments to date?Winning Gallagher shield 2015 would be up there. Beating the British Lions at a sold out Eden Park was nice.
➡️How do you prepare on game day?Keep it pretty low key like to go for brunch to get out of the house then some tunes hour or 2 before kick off.
➡️What do you enjoy most about being a member at the club?Love GTEC. just one big family and always cold tubes on the ready.
➡️Who is your favorite player and why?Dalton Papalii big fan the moment.
➡️What’s your nickname?Scraff or poo hands courtesy of the club.
➡️What’s your all-time favorite movie and why?Gladiator Russell Crowe all time.
➡️What’s your favorite food?Close between nachos and a well cooked brekkie.
➡️Can you tell us your dream job and why?Probably living it chucking a rugby ball around while being with the fellas can't complain
