Competition Dates & Costs

The season will run during Term 4 of the school year and commence on

27th October with 6 weeks of competition. Starting again in Term 1,

2023. (dates to be confirmed) for Juniors & Seniors (Jan 2023)

Juniors $110 per team -  Seniors $110 per team

Team Registration

Teams need to register before the 20th of Oct 2022. on-line registration process will apply

Players can only play in the team they are registered in.

Payment must be received by the first week or by contacting Paddy directly for other arrangements.

** Note: all team registrations & payments are on-line this year.

Draws

  • Draws will be based on number of entries per grade.
  • Grades may be split into sections.
  • Byes may occur if odd number of teams exist.
  •  Will be on the web-site, in the Grey Star & emailed to schools & team contacts.
  • Copies of the draws will be sent to the schools and coaches.
  • If any changes to the draw the Coaches will be notified.
  • Teams are to supply an umpire. First team in draw for that game.

Module Details

  • This module is affiliated with Touch Canterbury and Touch NZ 
  • A referee clinic will be either prior or at the start of the season.
  • School coaching opportunities can be arranged by contacting Paddy directly
  • All defaults or forfeits are to be advised to Jack @ Sport Canterbury West
  • Coast & to the opposition team coach ASAP.
  • Cancellations will be notified to the school and the team contact.
  • PLEASE: Don’t assume that Touch will be cancelled !!

If in doubt, only Coaches are to contact the Module Organisers.

Eligible Players

Please ensure all your players are eligible. Thank you.


Dress Standard

Within each team all players MUST wear the same colour t-shirt or singlet when playing.

Match Points

Match Points will be allocated as follows:

Win = 3 Draw = 2 Loss = 1 Default/Forfeit = 0

In an event of a default or forfeit the non-offending team will be awarded the win.

PLEASE REMEMBER! ….

• All teams MUST nominate a referee (other than a coach). Entries will not be accepted without a nominated referee. Resources will be provided to assist new referees & training provided if required.

• Please be organised and ready before the start time of your game.

• It is the referee’s responsibility to ensure that they have collected the scorecard and ball at least 5 minutes before the start of the game.

• Referees must keep a scorecard or appoint someone to take the score.

• It is the referee’s responsibility to return the scorecard and pencil

at the end of the game.

RULES:

- Please keep off the fields when other games are being played

- Inappropriate Language/Behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the person being asked to leave the module.

- Positive sideline behaviour is encouraged at all times

HEALTH & SAFETY:

We take the well-being of players and supporters very seriously.

In the event of an incident, emergency or weather related situations please support the coordinators decisions.

Ensure extra care is taken around the carpark as we have children present.

Children are to be supervised when visiting the adjoining beach.
