HOW TO PLAY
Basic Rules:
Serving: Every point begins with a serve, which must be underhand, below the server's waist, and initiated with at least one foot behind the baseline.
Bounces: The ball must bounce once on each side of the court before it can be volleyed.
Scoring: Points can only be scored by the serving side. A point is scored when the receiving side fails to return the ball, hits it out of bounds, volleys in the non-volley zone, or is hit by the ball.
Kitchen Rule: Players are not allowed to volley (hit the ball out of the air) while standing in the non-volley zone.
Dink Shots: "Dink" shots are soft, gentle shots that are designed to make the ball fall just over the net, making it difficult for the opponent to return.
Games: Games are typically played to 11 points, with a two-point win margin.

*First Server Exception: To minimize the advantage of being the first team to serve in the game, only one player, the one on the right side, gets to serve on the first service turn of the game. Since the serve goes to the other side when that player loses the serve, that player is designated as the second server. Therefore, at the start of the game, the score should be called, “0-0-2.” The “2” indicates the second server and means that the serve goes to the other side when the serve is lost.
