The Havelock Ski Club welcomes applications for membership from prospective members. While formed in Havelock North in 1966, as people have moved away and introduced new friends to the Club we now have (and accept) members from all around NZ. For those with an affiliation to the Club, membership applications should be proposed by an existing member. However, if you don’t know anyone at the Club, then we can introduce you to a member in your area or arrange for you to visit our lodge on Ruapehu.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP:

Junior Member: under 18 years of age as at 1 June of current year.
Senior Member: 18 years of age or over as at 1 June of current year.
Note: Apart from Littlies Week or by special arrangement with the Booking Officer, children under 3 years of age are not permitted to stay in the lodge during the ski season.

Members are required to pay a one-off entrance fee and then an ongoing annual subscription fee. Note that these fees are separate to the nightly fees for using the lodge.

MEMBERSHIP ENTRANCE FEE:
A one-off payment of $400 per person.
For 2026 (or until such time as the Committee decides), the Committee has waived the Entrance Fee for prospective Junior members under the age of 18 at the time of joining. To be eligible, the prospective Junior member must be a child of an existing Senior member, or of a prospective Senior Member who subsequently joins the Club.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEE:
Junior: $50 per year
Senior: $110 per year
Couple: $200 per year
Overseas/Student Senior: $55 per year
Overseas/Student Couple: $90 per year
Note: These fees are not the per night cost of staying at the lodge, but rather the cost of membership. Where a new member has stayed in the lodge at the non-member rate in the year they join the Club, the difference between the non-member and member rate will be credited to their lodge account.
