The Hawea-Wanaka Pony Club was formed in 1957. It is a branch of the Central Otago Pony Club, which is part of the Otago Southland Pony Club Area. Through this we are affiliated with the NZPCA—( New Zealand Pony Club Association)
Pony Club meets most Wednesdays at 4.30pm (daylight permitting) at the Hawea Domain, Domain Rd, Lake Hawea.
Members have a mix of ridden rallies with at least one theory and horsemanship rally a month.
All of the members are working towards their NZPCA certificates.
Pony Club is held from August to May with a break over winter.
