TRAINING SQUADS

NOVICE KAYAK GROUP

Coach - Dan Driskel and Barry Coleman

This group is for all paddlers new to the sport. Currently, we have a waitlist for all new paddlers. When space in squads becomes available, paddlers will be contacted to trial the sport for a period before committing to membership. This group generally competes at our three major regattas in the sprint season (summer), and a range of events in the winter 10km series. The club has limited kayaks available for this group, so we are constrained by numbers. There is a $50 coaching fee per term for this group, and it is a group suitable for younger paddlers (13/14-year-olds), or paddlers who have little or no kayak or surf ski experience. This group trains up to  3 times a week.
