Annette Perrett – Head Coach
What made you want to become a coach? I love netball, always have and I love to see players develop and enjoy the game. Coaching keeps me involved in the sport and helps me to continue to keep learning and too.
What are your core values as a coach? My top three core values (in no particular order) that guide my behaviour, decisions, and actions as a coach are:
What are you most looking forward to this season? Meeting new people/players and being part of a collective coaching group.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? I played Premier netball for Inglewood for several years, aside from two years with Naumai. I have previously coached Inglewood, in my very early days of coaching Premier. So when I wanted to continue coaching but without the lengthy travel, it was an easy decision to return to Inglewood for me.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Camping at the beach or going for a bike ride (e-bike that is 😊)

Matt Soffe (IURNC Summit Premier 1) – Assistant Coach
What made you want to become a coach? I grew up around coaching (specifically netball) and got to see the relationships that are formed and how that translated into sport. Being able to be a part of a players growth and helping them to achieve not only within the team but improve individually is why I enjoy coaching.
What are your core values as a coach Honesty, effort, being a good team member.
What are you most looking forward to this season? Creating a culture where everyone in the team can thrive and achieve the goals they set for themselves.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? Mum coached for Inglewood for a long time right through into my 20’s. Being able to continue my coaching with Inglewood and try to achieve what she did with the club would be great.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Family, golf, dart and bowls.
Your Words of Wisdom for 2025 Teamwork Triumphs – You cant achieve team goals individually, we have to work together for each other.
Dwayne Schimanski – Head Coach
What made you want to become a coach? To spend more time with the wife, but all jokes aside I enjoy coaching and watching players develop their skill set and their growth throughout the season. Finding that hidden gem and being able to bring the best out of that player.
What are your core values as a coach? I've got a couple…
Respect, weather you’re a player or management, respect is earned and not given.
Teamwork, surrounding myself with likeminded people to get the best result possible.
Culture, creating a safe environment for players and management to be able to fully express themselves on and off court.
What are you most looking forward to this season?Winning!!!!
Striving to develop players throughout the season.
Working closely with all our club coaches so that I can learn techniques from each of them and then be able to pass on the knowledge.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? It’s in the blood. I grew up here, played rugby here, so naturally I want to give back to the club that gave me and my family so many wonderful memories.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Spending time with family, Coaching Wahine Moa Rugby Team, and giving back to the community.

Brooke Neilson– Assistant Coach
What made you want to become a coach? I was starting to miss the netball scene after a couple of years away and wanted to give back.
What are your core values as a coach? Clarity, communication and consistency.
What are you most looking forward to this season? Being back on the netball scene and having a good crack at the season.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? IURNC is a second home to me so giving back was a no brainer.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Rugby and hanging out with friends and family.

Maree Schimanski – Co Coach
What made you want to become a coach? I love netball and I love being apart of a players journey to develop. It also gave me an opportunity to give back to the sport I love and our community.
What are your core values as a coach?
Culture – Developing an environment others want to be apart of, this will prove strong connections on and off court.
Respect – Speaks for itself!
Inclusive – Player voice and input is important. Being prepared to listen to others and allow others to feel they have a voice. It shows value to our players.
What are you most looking forward to this season? I am excited to have Tia on board with me as a coach this season. This will give our team a great opportunity to bring something different to the mix.
We also have a new look coaching team which is exciting to be apart of.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? My husband and family are my connection to IURNC. The club’s strong values that I strongly support. I love being apart of our club and the amazing people associated within.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Spending time with my husband and kids.
Your Words of Wisdom for 2025? “The work of a team should always embrace a great player, but the great player must always work.”
Tia Huta - Co Coach
What made you want to become a coach? If you can't play coach! Injuries and old ankles mean I'm more suited to being on the sideline than on the court these days.
What are your core values as a coach? Play hard, train harder and have a heap of fun doing it.
What are you most looking forward to this season? I want to build on the foundation our team already has while working them harder than ever.
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? I've played all my netball for this club, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Four kids and a husband keep me busy but I do love having some drinks with my girls.
I also spend alot of time stalking my kids on snap maps.

Tina Lowcay (IURNC Senior B) - Coach
What made you want to become a coach? My love of netball, sharing knowledge, developing players, seeing the results come to life and being able to still be involved in the game I love is great.
What are your core values as a coach?Courage, Teamwork, support, and Perseverance
What are you most looking forward to this season? Looking forward to a fun-filled season of netball with a great team giving it their best and developing any new talent, also the social events ahead!
What drove you to want to coach at IURNC? Great community spirit and a supportive club environment.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of netball? Spend time with my family and friends.
