Clay Target Shooting - HB Clay Target Club.

Clay Target shooting is held at the Hawke’s Bay Clay Target Club, 1214 Mareakakaho Road.

You will be given an individual introduction to clay target shooting. The club has guns that can be used by beginners and ammunition can be bought at the club.
Practices are held on Wednesdays after 3pm.
In Terms 2 & 3 each year, secondary school clay target shooters compete in the Central & Lower North Island Secondary Schools series. This is made up of 6 shoots with a final and prize giving in the last week of term 3.

When you start, you will be asked to join the HB club after 2-3 practices. Student fee $20 /year.
There are family rates if adults wish to join the club. If you go on to compete, you will need to join the NZ Clay Target Association the junior membership is $35 /year. membership NZCTA
Currently the cost of a practice of 25 targets is $25 made up of $15 for ammunition + $10 for targets.
