2026 Season Dates

Senior netball trials for years 7 and 8 - Sunday 8 March, 1:30-3:30pm. There will be a practice session at 10:30am on Saturday 7 March for those interested in attending.

Round 1: Saturday 2 May – Saturday 4 July 2026 

• Years 7 and 8 (Div 1-3) will have two rounds of grading on 2 and 9 May where they will play 3-4 games over the day to place teams in the right grade.

• Years 5 and 6 will play 7 a-side from 2026. They will start their season on Saturday 2 May 2026.

• Years 3 and 4 will start from Saturday 16 May 2026.  

• There is no netball on the following dates: 30 May (King’s Birthday), and 11 & 18 July (school holidays)

Round 2:

• Saturday 25 July – Saturday 29 August 2026 (Years 3-8)

• Year 1 & 2 Fun Festival – 8 and 15 August 2026. Years 1 and 2 play a fun festival across two Saturdays in August to learn about the game.

Game timings

Division 1, 2 and 3 play at either 8:30am, 9:20am or 10:10am each week - the time will rotate, so please check the draws carefully each week.

Year 6: 11am 

Year 5: 11:45am

Year 4: 12:30pm

Year 3: 1pm

Future Ferns Y1/2 - 8 and 15 August with times to be confirmed (usually late morning/early afternoon).

Duty Days

Each school participating in the Wellington West Netball competition will be assigned duty days. Each team need to provide volunteers to help with this which will be coordinated through your team's Manager or Coach.
