Kapi Mana Umpiring for 2026
Clubs and Schools will still be expected to provide umpires to meet their rostered umpiring duties and, in some grades, provide their own umpires. This season we expect that all umpires provided by schools and clubs for rostered umpiring duties on Saturday, will have completed the Netball New Zealand Learning to Umpire Module. This module helps with understanding the basic rules of netball as well as practical techniques to enhance our umpiring standards. The module is free to complete and easy to access on the Netball New Zealand site. Netball New Zealand. This module is not an umpiring qualification. It is a pre-requisite for those umpires who may wish to learn more about umpiring and move on to be assessed during the season for their Kapi Mana Centre Badge. On successful completion of this module each participant will receive a certificate which must be sent to Kate Tibbitts kate.tibbitts1965@gmail.com . Kate will keep a Kapi Mana Netball Centre record of all umpires who have met our expectation and will be checking that these are the umpires who are controlling our games on Saturday. This interaction will give our umpires the opportunity to ask questions and receive some tips and ideas to further enhance their confidence and knowledge of our game when taking up the challenge of umpiring.
