Kelston Girls' College is seeking an organised and relational person to join our team as Principal's Personal Assistant.
In this role, you will support the principal and serve as a key point of contact for staff, whānau, and our community. You will coordinate human resources administration, provide secretariat support to the School Board, and manage the Principal's office's daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the Principal's calendar, drafting reports and communications, and welcoming visitors and external stakeholders.
Coordinating staff recruitment, onboarding new kaimahi (staff), and supporting the administration of support staff Professional Growth Cycles (PGC).
Coordinating monthly Board meetings, drafting minutes, and managing the Board's policy review cycle.
The successful candidate will possess sophisticated written English skills, administrative precision, and digital fluency (such as KAMAR and SchoolBridge). You will be a lead communicator who approaches complex situations with quiet empathy, complete confidentiality, and a problem-solving mindset.

Kelston Girls' College is seeking a proactive, relational, and safety-conscious Head Caretaker (Grade 2) to join our property team.
In this role, you will have oversight of the school's land, buildings, and physical assets, ensuring our kura is safe, secure, clean, and highly functional. Working under the guidance of the Business Manager, you will lead our property team to maintain a welcoming environment that supports student learning and honours our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance: Designing and carrying out preventative maintenance, managing school security, and undertaking minor repairs across the kura.
Health & Safety: Leading daily compliance checks, managing hazard mitigation, and participating actively in the school’s Health and Safety Committee.
Daily Operations: Working closely with the school office and teaching pathways to support their spatial and resource setup needs for school events, assemblies, and community facility hireage.
Team Leadership & Mentoring: Leading the daily workflow of our property team with a supportive, growth-focused approach.
