Juniors are divided into hard ball cricket (school years 3/4 & 5/6) and soft ball cricket (school years 1/2). Children will be evaluated and moved up or down to ensure they get the most enjoyable experience related to their ability and age.
We are hoping to have the numbers to form two teams in each of the age ranges so they can have meaningful games against each other throughout the season.
Training will start on Tuesday October 31st, 3.30pm - 5.00pm. Training and games take place at the Kerikeri High School grounds. Games start on Friday November 3rd 4.30pm - 6.30pm. Last game before Christmas would be December 15th. Then we start back again in February. Dates TBA.
The first two games will be used to evaluate and grade the kids into teams of a similar ability.
The cost to join is $20.00 for the Yr 1/2 kids and $40.00 for the Yr 3/4 & 5/6 kids. Years 3 - 6 will receive a cap to keep and a team shirt to use for the season. Shirts to be returned at the end of the season.
Please consider volunteering to be a coach, trainer, umpire or scorer. It's fun and you will receive training/help throughout the season.
