Serious Fun Events

Serious Fun Events comes from a background of sport management, event management, community engagement and business development. We have over 40+ years experience, the majority of which is in community sport and sports events.

The aim of this module is to provide an opportunity for people of all abilities to take part in one of the most popular summer social sports in New Zealand.  With this in mind, the module will run a little differently to others; our module will be only 9 weeks long and during term 4 and the 7 weeks in term 1.

As a business, we operate a 'no dickheads' policy and this goes for those we work with and those who we have involved with us. We see a similar policy being relevant within this module. While we certainly expect and support competition and competiveness, we won't tolerate behaviour, attitudes or language that isn't in the spirit of social sport and community fun. In short, if you wouldn't say it or do it in front of your children (or other children that will be watching), then its not going to be tolerated with us either.

Ultimately, the aim of this module is to provide a template for other communities to create wider community engagement, support and involvement in and around sport and recreation and the facilities and grounds we have available to us.
