The Boys' Training Farm at Weraroa in Levin was a government institution for children first opened in 1905. It housed boys with behavioural problems – those identified as 'delinquents' – though neglected and orphaned boys ended up there too. Occupational training was an important element of the institution's regime.

The farm operated until 1939 when it became an RNZAF facility.

The photo taken in 1913 shows boys tending a garden crop in front of Clematis Cottage at Weraroa Boys Training Farm on Kimberly Rd, Levin. The instructor in a white shirt and hat is Mr M W Williams. Mrs Anne Williams stands with son Raymond in the doorway to the Cottage. The boys' dormitory is to the left of this family home. Photograph taken circa 1913 by an unidentified photographer.
