There are a range of options available for primary aged kids wanting to play tennis.

InterClub - A Saturday morning competition played across the Ellesmere district. Start times are either 8.30 or 10.30 am. Games include singles and doubles.  

The competition has at least 3 divisions so play is against similar abilities.  At the end of the first round teams can be moved up or down if they are in the incorrect division.

Round 1 of the Competition starts at the end of October (note: it starts on Sunday 19th October due to Ellesmere show) and runs to the 14th December (7 weeks). Round 2 begins in term one of next year, running from 15th February to the 29th March (7 weeks).

As well as Primary Div 1 - 4 there is a beginners grade called Comets, this is for players aged 8-10yrs progressing from minis or beginning to rally ready to play on full size courts. Everyone in Comets grade starts together for pre-Xmas sessions and it includes an introduction to InterClub with coaching on learning to play games together in doubles and singles, serving, calling scoring etc on a full size court.

Mini tennis - This is available for beginners and will be run by Ellesmere Tennis at the Lincoln Tennis Club courts on Friday's at 4.30-5.30pm, starting 1 November 2024.

Coaching -  Available for juniors of all ages and experience on Thursday afternoons at Lincoln courts in collaboration with Kate Williamson Coaching.
