MCPA runs various competitions at Roto Kohatu during daylight saving season. Details are promoted to members via FB. All players must be affiliated to MCPA via a club or school.

Local League: Held in Spring (September - December) and Autumn (February - April). 

Division 1 is on Wednesday nights from 6pm for selected players. Player numbers are capped at 20.
Divisions 2-4 are on Tuesday nights from 5:30pm.

School League: Wednesday afternoons 3:30-6:30pm in Terms 1 and 4.

​​​​​​​South Island Champs: An annual event for all South Island teams held each summer. North Island teams can also enter. This usualy runs in December each year.

MCPA host an A grade and B grade National League tournament each year, usually in March, and host the bi-annual Inter Regional Championships on rotation with the other regions
