FACILITIES

Maraetai Tennis Club has a clubroom and four synthetic-turf courts with floodlighting for night play for club members to enjoy. We are situated in Te Puru Park behind the sports complex and have great views across Te Puru Park and Kelly's Cove Beach to Waiheke Island.

CLUBROOMS

Our clubrooms are provided for everyone to enjoy and they offer a great vantage point to check out the on-court action, so please use the clubrooms and make yourself at home. Refreshments are available (donation required) and complimentary iceblocks are in the freezer for the kids to enjoy after their coaching session. Help yourself to tea and coffee. There are tennis balls and spare racquets in the back room for you to use. And we have a table tennis table for you to play on, a noticeboard containing current info, a stereo for your enjoyment and an honours board that celebrates all our past club champions. So enjoy the space we have. All we ask is that you respect the equipment in there and that you clean up after yourself.

COURTS

We have four synthetic-turf courts available for our members to enjoy. The 16mm all-weather pile is a great surface to play on and it gives you the flexibility to carry on playing during light rainfall. The back courts were layed in March 2012 with funding assistance from Manukau City Council. The front two courts were layed in August 2014 with funding assistance from NZ Community Trust. We have floodlighting for all our courts and have a coin operated lighting system mounted on the back outside wall of the clubrooms so you can access the floodlights when the clubrooms are closed. This means you can enjoy extended play in the evenings at your own convenience. Cost is $4 per hour ($2 coins only).

VOLLEY WALL

Maraetai Tennis Club, Pohutukawa Coast Netball Club and Auckland Council  jointly funded the construction of a volley wall in February 2014. It is positioned between the tennis courts and the netball courts in Te Puru Park and is open for public use.

Note - When the clubrooms are closed, you can use the toilets in the change rooms below Te Puru Community Centre (by the sports field). They are open for public use whenever the park gates are open.
