CODE OF CONDUCT

All students involved in our sports programme are expected to attend school with a positive attitude and a committed effort towards their studies.

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they are meeting the attendance requirements for school. If a students attendance shows 10% or more unjustified absences, students will not be able to represent the school in sport.

Our sports programme is built upon respecting the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved regardless of their gender, ability or cultural background.

As an MBC Student I will:

  • Enjoy the opportunities that I have to play sport and give my best effort.
  • Be prepared to work equally hard for myself and my team.
  • Respect all officials, teammates, players, coaches, supporters and opponents.
  • Commit to every training session and game that I am selected for.
  • Be on time for every training session and game.
  • Play by the rules of my sport at all times.
  • Control my temper and not verbally abuse, sledge, deliberately distract or provoke an opponent or official.
  • Make sure I wear the appropriate clothing and apparel that I am requested to wear for that team.
  • Communicate directly with my coach if I am unable to make trainings or games.
  • Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Uphold the RIPR values when I represent MBC in sport both on and off the field.

As an MBC Falcons Coach I will:

  • Enjoy the opportunity to be involved in MBC sport.
  • Respect all officials, players, coaches, supporters and opponents.
  • Place the safety and welfare of my players/athlete before anything else
  • Be a positive role model at all times for my players/athlete
  • Be honest and fair with all team selections.
  • Organise and plan training sessions for the betterment of my players/athlete.

As an MBC Falcons Supporter I will:

  • Remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment not mine.
  • Encourage children to participate, not force them.
  • Focus on a child’s efforts and performance rather than winning and losing.
  • Respect all officials, players, coaches, supporters and opponents.
  • Not enter the field of play, unless requested to do so by an official.
  • Observe all fixtures without questioning the decisions of coaches and officials.
  • Take time to thank the coach and all volunteers who are giving others a chance to participate in a positive activity.
  • Display a positive attitude at every game and be a role model for others.
