New playing opportunities for 2026!

This year Matakana Hawks will be play all year groups (1 - 6) at the Warkworth Showgrounds. This league is run by Netball North Harbour. The season runs from May - August.

Volunteer parent coaches and managers are essential

Each team requires a parent coach and parent manager. Please indicate if you are able to help with these roles when you register your child. As a club, we will set you up with the knowledge, the gear, and will be here if you need a hand. There are coaching workshops and information sessions for you to attend pre season. See dates and information on these here. 

Netball North Harbour 2026 Competition:

Years 1-2:

Games are played on Tuesday afternoons 4.00pm, 4.50pm, 5.40pm. Depending on numbers there will potentially be a 6.30pm game.

futureFERNS non-competitive sessions, 4 aside game

GIVE-IT-A-GO Day - We would love to see any year 1 and 2 children who are interested in giving netball a try. This is the perfect opportunity to test the 'netball waters' and see if it is something your child may be interested in. Remember netball isn't just for girls, boys who are keen are very welcome.

Come join us at the Matakana school courts after school on Friday 27th February.

Years 3:

Games are played on Tuesday afternoons 4.00pm, 4.50pm, 5.40pm. Depending on numbers there will potentially be a 6.30pm game.

Years 4:

Games are played on Tuesday afternoons 4.00pm, 4.50pm, 5.40pm. Depending on numbers there will potentially be a 6.30pm game.

futureFERNS non-competitive sessions. 5 aside game for the first six weeks, then switching to six aside for the remainder of the season.

Year 5:

Games are played on a Tuesday afternoon - times TBC.

7 a-side rotational netball, players make positional changes each quarter.

Year 6:

Games are played on a Tuesday afternoon - times TBC.

7 a-side netball as per usual rules, ie no modifications.
