Year 5-6 Woolworths futureFERNS

Netball continues to be modified for this age group - 6v6 - and is played through your Primary school, or club.
Players rotate to prevent early specialisation in positions. The emphasis is on all players getting plenty of touches of the ball and the opportunity to develop a broad skill set in a 6 aside game.

Year 5-6 futureFERNS is on Saturday mornings in the New World Junior Comp, starting on Saturday 4th May 2024, and finishing Saturday 27th July 2024.

On the last day of their season (Saturday 27th of July) the Year 6 teams will play 7 aside netball to lead them up to playing 7aside in 2025. The Year 5's will continue to play the 6v6 game in a round robin format.

July school holidays:

Saturday netball will be played the first and last week of the July school holidays like normal, but the middle weekend there will be no netball being played. There will also be no play the weekend of King's Birthday Weekend, or Matariki.
