CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Club Championships will be held on Wednesday 12th and Wednesday 19th March 2025.
During these events points are gained towards championship trophies and awards.
These are based on total points so it is important to enter as many events as possible. Points are awarded for placings and for completion of a race without disqualification
The Championships are run under the control of a nominated referee and disqualification may occur for swimming infringements such as false starts, incorrect strokes or turns.
RULES OF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
- All entrants must be financial members
- Entry forms must be completed online and close at 11:59pm 9th March 2025. All entries received after that date will be invalid.
- No entries are taken on the night.
- To be eligible for championship points a competitor must have swum at a minimum of 3 Club Nights . The committee will take into consideration any special circumstances which may make this unreasonable BUT application for special consideration MUST be made in writing and submitted to the February Committee meeting for discussion.
- A championship ruling restricts swimmers to enter only strokes which they have previously completed at Club Nights.
- Swimmers are advised to plan to attempt swims at Club Nights to ensure that they are able to enter the races in the champs.
