4D Freight FNBB Term 1 2024

Information For Schools

Welcome back to the 4D Freight FNBB competition for Term 1 2024

Registrations:

Registrations will be slightly different this year, with the school contact required to fill out two google forms. This is  instead of the excel sheet for the teams and many other Google forms for other information required by us to set up for the Term of FNBB.  There will be familiar questions to help us get teams into the right grades to make it an enjoyable term of basketball.
The initial form will require all schools to provide contact details for the main school contact plus the team name (for us to put on the system) along with the coach and manager. This form will also be asking for the email that invoices should be sent to etc.
All players will still be required to register on the TG Sport site (even if they did this last term/year) via their own accounts (new players will need to make an account first). All players are required to be registered, this is a BBNZ requirement. More info around registrations can be found in the registration document in the DOCUMENTS section.

Registrations for players are required and we need to make sure they are done.
If a player is not registered they will not be eligible to play.  If players are having trouble registering using the information on the Registration Information Document please contact [email protected].

We are asking for full team lists to help us ensure players are registered and this is on the team registration form term.

For resources etc for coaches please refer to the CoachMate app information further down the page.

Last date for team registrations is the 16th February

Please find more information about registering teams and players in the Registration document.

The cost for FNBB teams for Term 1 2024 is yet to be finalised but we will endeavour to have this out to you all asap in term 1!  An email will go out letting you know the costs as soon as we have them.
Schools will be invoiced once teams are confirmed.

Time Requests:
If you have any time requests for games please let me know useing this form -
Form for time requests.
Time requests are needed to be received on the form by the 19th February. Time requests will be considered throughout the season but we will need to be given at-least 1 and a half weeks notice of time requests during the season. Any last minute time requests during the season will not be accepted, this keeps us from having to update the draw multiple times a week. If you are asking for a time request during the season please fill in the form but also send an email letting us know to ensure we don't miss it. Send to [email protected].

Draws:
Weekly draws will be posted on the 4D Freight Friday Nights Basketball page and on our website as well as being emailed to all school contacts.

Bench Duty Workshop + Q&A W/ Hamish Dale
Our very own NZ NBL referee & NCBA committee member Hamish Dale will be hosting another of his bench duty training workshops at a date to be confirmed at Mainpower Stadium. Hamish will work through how to correctly fill out a FNBB scoresheet, as well as how to use the Mainpower scoreboards, using the bench paddles and everything else that comes with doing bench duty. Being able to do bench duty is a great skill to have to help your team. If any of your parents or whānau are wanting to come along. We will email out a link for everyone to register in an email and it will also be on this page.

Good Sports/Raising a Champion Evening W/ Lori McDaniels:
During the year we have BBNZ Community Lead for Canterbury & North Canterbury native Lori McDaniels present a Good Sports module to the FNBB coaches & parents. These are held at Mainpower Stadium and are a great chance for the FNBB coaches to up skill themselves and for parents to understand the Good Sports theory. We highly recommend this for all FNBB coaches & parents, as being a good sports coach & parent is very important to the enjoyment & wellbeing of our tamariki playing basketball. Emails will be sent to inform all schools of the next evening and we ask that you please pass on to parents or coaches for them to register for this. The link will also be on this page.
