Nelson Basketball's representative programme provides opportunities for players to develop their skills, compete at a higher level and proudly represent the Nelson region.
Our teams travel throughout the South Island and across New Zealand, competing against other basketball associations at regional tournaments and national championships. These experiences extend beyond the court, building friendships, independence and valuable life skills.
Representative basketball also forms part of the wider player development pathway. Performances at representative tournaments, particularly National Championships, can provide exposure and opportunities to be considered for national development programmes and New Zealand age-group teams.
