 NNZ Community Coach Award

The NNZ Community Coach Award is for coaches who have coached for at least 2 years.  There is a series of modules to work through in two parts - Level 1 and Level 2.

The Community Coach Level 1 Award is in recognition of Coaches completing 2 online modules which cover some of the basic Netball Rules and key components of the Netball Smart programme. Coaches are also required to attend and complete 9 workshops with a total commitment of over 35 hours.  The first module of Level 1 is Player Centred Coaching, see note below.

N.B. Coaches need to have completed CCA1 Player Centred Coaching (PCC) and there is also pre-requisite work to do on Sports Tutor

Practical Coaching for Coaches Workshops

The following Practical Coaching for Coaches workshops are being held in April. These are interactive sessions and coaches will need to wear sports clothes and shoes to participate in. Resources and handouts will be provided for coaches attending. 

NNH Introduction to Coaching for Intermediate & College Coaches                & NetballSmart Workshop

Date: Wednesday 1st May 

Venue: Gibson Function Room (Upstairs) at the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre, 44 Northcote Road, Takapuna

Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Cost: $15.00 (includes resources)


Year 1 to 3 Practical for Coaches

Date:  Monday, 6th May 

Venue: Gibson Room (Upstairs) at the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre, 44 Northcote Road, Northcote

Time: 6.30pm - 8.00pm,

Cost: $15.00 (includes resources)


HBC Year 4-6 Practical Coaching for Coaches Workshop 

Date: Wednesday 8th May 

Venue: Hibiscus Coast Netball Centre, Ladies Mile, Manly, Whangaparāoa 0930

Time: 6.30pm - 8.00pm,

Cost: $30.00 (includes resources)

NNZ CCA 1 Modules - Whole Day Workshop

Sunday 26th May 2024

Date: Sunday 26th May

Venue: Barfoot and Thompson Netball Centre, (downstairs Freeman Room) 44 Northcote Rd, Takapuna 

Costs:

  • Individual single modules – Player Centred Coaching (PCC) and/or Planning are $30.00 each,
  • Combined Modules -Shooting/Skills Analysis, Attack/Defence are $45.00 each
  • Cost to complete full day – all 6 modules is $130.00

N.B. A minimum of 10 coaches registered per module block (or for the whole day) is required to be able to run this workshop.

Timeline:

  • 8.30am-9.00am – Registrations and Introductions
  • 9.00am -10.30am – Player Centred Coaching (PCC) Module - $30.00
  • Morning Tea
  • 10.45am -11.40am – Planning Module - $30.00
  • 11.45am – 1.00pm – Shooting & Skills Analysis Modules - $45.00
  • Lunch Break
  • 1.45pm -3.45pm – Attack and Defence Modules - $45.00
  • 3.45pm-4.00pm – Feedback/Conclusion/Depart
  • Full day – all 6 modules - $130.00
