GRADING DAY - Sunday 19th April - 10am-4pm

  • A grade not required to attend
  • B - D grades - all teams will play at least 3 x 20min games (10min halves with 2min break)
  • Games will be played at Wanaka Rec Centre indoor and outdoor courts
  • Draw will be released by end of this coming weekend
  • All teams to provide their own umpire
  • If the weather is poor, the day may be cancelled and grading will be at the discretion of NUC

SEASON START/PLAYING DAYS

  • All grades will start on Thurs 23rd/Fri 24th April
  • A grade will play Friday 60min games
  • B/B Res/C grades will play Thursday 40min games
  • D grade will play Friday 40min games
  • Important: due to the number of teams entered and limitations on court space, all Thursday teams will sometimes be scheduled for a Friday game (likely once or twice per round)
  • School holiday games - A grade and D grade will both play in last week of school holidays on Friday 17 July. No games on 9/10 July for any grade.
  • B-D grades will have some byes across the season
  • Semi finals will be played on 13/14 August (all teams playing), Finals on 20/21 August (only top 4 teams each grade). 

COMPETITION FORMAT

  • A grade will have 6 teams and play one warmup round, then 2 x rounds where the points will carry over between both rounds for the end of season results
  • B grade will have 7 teams; B Res will have 7 teams; C grade will have 8 teams (combined C & C Res from previous years). There will be 1 warm up round and 1 competition round. Points will stay separate for both rounds.
  • D grade will have 5 teams and be similar to A grade with one warm up round and 2x competition rounds where points carry over.
  • Promotion/Relegation may occur at the discretion of NUC between bottom B/top B Res and bottom B Res/top C between rounds. No other grades will have any promotion/relegation.
