NHSA invites Expressions of Interest for the inaugural Women's Fast60 Competition, a fast-paced, draft-based league designed to provide meaningful game time for female athletes while avoiding clashes with representative commitments and the busy post-Christmas premier tournament schedule.

Hosted under lights on Diamond 1 at Rosedale Park, the competition is open to female players from Under 17 through to Premier level across all Auckland regional associations; including North Harbour, Auckland, Counties Manukau and Franklin.

The competition will run for 4 – 6 weeks (Numbers dependant) on Wednesday evenings, commencing 14 October 2026. Teams will be selected through a player draft, with team announcements and jersey presentations taking place on 30 September 2026.

This will also offer a great oppornutiy for participants to showcase their skills the various Rep teams that North Harbour Softball has.

Fast60 Format Highlights:

• 60-minute game duration
• 3 balls, 3 strikes count
• Double plays immediately clear the innings
• Modified runner placement:
  • 1st inning: Runner on 1st base
  • 2nd inning: Runners on 1st and 2nd
  • 3rd inning: Bases loaded
  • Pattern repeats from the 4th inning onward

This innovative format aims to create a competitive, exciting and development-focused environment for female softball players across the Auckland region. More details to follow as we get closer to the start in October.
