Coach update

Creole Wallace has been appointed as the Northland Under-18 netball coach for the 2026 season, bringing a strong combination of coaching experience, playing history, and community leadership.

Her U18 coaching background includes roles as assistant coach for Kaitaia College at the UNISS tournament, as well as coaching positions with Far North Phoenix and Abundant Life School Collegiate. She is known for her player-centred coaching style and holistic approach, focusing on both performance and the overall development and wellbeing of her athletes.

Creole also brings a long and accomplished premier netball playing career. She has represented teams including The Bubz, Extons, University of Waikato, and currently Far North Phoenix, demonstrating sustained performance at a high level. She has previously been selected in training squads for the Northern Comets and New Zealand Mixed Netball, and has  represented Eastern Waikato U19 and various Mangonui age group teams. Her netball journey began as a junior with Pirates at the Mangonui Netball Centre, reflecting her deep-rooted connection to the Northland netball community.

Beyond her playing and coaching, Creole is the current President of the Mangonui Netball Centre, highlighting her ongoing commitment to growing and strengthening the game at a grassroots level. Outside of netball, she also serves her community as a volunteer firefighter and enjoys dog obedience training with her dog, Billy.

Northland Netball is excited to make this appointment, recognising Wallace’s passion, experience, and dedication to developing young athletes and fostering a positive, inclusive team environment.
