The 2023/24 season is officially under way. New players are welcome! The following tennis programmes are available this season:

For those just starting out. Coach Robin Jamieson will run through skills with the kids.

When: Monday - Kurow, Tuesday - Waimate, Wednesday - Ōamaru

Times: Beginners (Red) - 3.30pm-4.15pm, Intermediate (Orange) - 4.15pm-5pm, Advanced (Green) - 5pm-5.45pm

Junior Development

The Junior competition with Coach Steve Dries is an opportunity for juniors to practice their skills hitting, serving and scoring.

When: Wednesdays, from 4.00pm

Location: Chelmer Street Grass Courts, Ōamaru

Senior Competition

Teams of four, playing a Fast 4 format. All levels are catered for. The competition gets under way on October 26.

When: Thursdays, 6pm start

Where: Chelmer St Grass Courts, Ōamaru

Social Night

Friendly tennis matches, coordinated by a volunteer club member. Everyone will be matched with three other players to play doubles. Friendly, social tennis for players of all abilities, and new players are always welcome. Social nights start for the season on October 27.

When: Fridays, 6pm start

Where: Chelmer St Grass Courts, Ōamaru

Masters Tennis

North Otago Tennis has a great group of Masters (30+) who hit on a Thursday and Sunday during a season, and just on Sundays during the off-season. We also participate in inter-association rep fixtures and team events.

When: Sundays 10am, Thursdays 4.30pm

Where: Chelmer Street Grass Courts or Waitaki Boys' High School if wet
