JUNIOR GRADES?

Playing Grade is based on your child's year in school. 

  • Nursery - Under 2-4 years old
  • Year 0/1 Rippa Rugby
  • Year 2 Rippa Rugby
  • Year 3 Tackle - 7-aside
  • Year 4 Tackle - 10-aside
  • Year 5 Tackle - 10-aside
  • Year 6 Tackle - 10-aside
  • Year 7 Tackle - 15-aside
  • Year 8 Tackle - 15-aside
  • Combined rippa rugby grades Year 3/4, Year 5/6, Year 7/8 (subject to numbers)

A player can potentially play down a grade (subject to weight)

REGISTRATIONS?

You can register your child CLICK HERE.
We are in our second year of the new system with Rugby Xplorer. Download the app. Please create your child's profile. From there, you will be able to register SEARCH NORTHERN UNITED RFC JUNIORS.

Club registration days:

  • ​Saturday 28 February 10am-12pm
  • Wednesday 4 March 6-730pm
  • Wednesday 11 March 6-730pm


PAYMENTS?

We have several club registration nights where you can make your payment. Eftpos or cash available. Alternatively, you can pay via the  Rugby Xplorer App at the conclusion of your registration.

Reference: Surname & Year

You MUST reference your payment using: The INITIAL and SURNAME of your player, AND the Year level
For example: WOOD/A Y3 - If paying for more than one player, please reference the number of players.
For example: WOOD family x2 or WOOD/A/M Y3/8

Please ensure all payments are correctly referenced so we can allocate them promptly.

FEES?

  • $60 | Year 1-8 Individual player
  • $40 | Year 1-8 per additional player per family (Siblings)
  • $40 | Nursery only, which includes a t-shirt to keep.
  • $10 | Addition to fee - Late registration fee, if you register after 31 March 2026.


WHERE CAN I PURCHASE UNIFORMS?

  • ​​​​​​​Shorts and socks can be purchased online via CUS website. Other supporters' gear can be purchased via the CUS website.
  • Players will receive a Norths playing jersey once they have been confirmed into a team. They will need to return the jersey at the end of the season. A $85 charge will be made if the jersey is not returned.
  • We also offer a Koha mai Koha atu 'upcycle', donate, swap, and trade your gear. We welcome all sizes in reasonable conditions. You can bring them along to any of our registration days or contact our team via DM or email.


WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED?

Games are played on a Friday night and Saturday morning.

  • Friday night games can vary from 4.30pm - 7.30pm Kick off.
  • Saturday night games can vary from 9.30am - 11.30am Kick off.

Nursery grade for our tamariki get to play every Saturday morning at Porirua Park, where they interact and play games focusing on fun and learning movement with a rugby ball. We encourage parents to participate with our tamariki. 


REGION OF PLAY

NORTHERN UNITED RFC GROUNDS - Porirua Park 1, 2, 3, and 4 Bernie Wood Turf, Onepoto Park

Year 1-6 grades will play in the Western Zone, which includes:

Year 7&8 grades will play across the Wellington region.
