Tihei Mauri ora!!

What a great few days of softball, for the Onerahi Natives. On Friday our Onerahi mens and womens played our whanau from over the bridge (Hikurangi) and what some great games, was played. Both our mens and womens didnt come away with the win, but we played it out and thats what matters the most!

Then Saturday we had our second game for the womens also againts Hikurangi where we were able to get a WIN. The mens also played Takiwira, and it was a great game with some raw talent showing face on the day.

So a big mihi to both these awesome teams...

Then roll on Sunday our mens and womens also travelled down to Auckland to be a part of the Navy Tournament which was held at Rosdale Park. The weather was great, everyone was well hydrated (IYKYK) and it was all round a fun day, connections were made and bonds got stronger and stronger .

We would love to thank all of use who helped us make this trip memorable Brother Dreaded Reubs for our van and trailer (FLEXI)

Uncle Willie Cotton for your gold card

Camp mother Monz Faith for housing us for the weekend OGZ forlife.

Stan Semenoff for hooking us up with shelter so we didnt get BLACKER!!!,  and all our whanau for bringing kai to keep our tinana ticking over.

Both teams played 3 games, the mens played NAVY CHIEFS, HE PIKO HE TANIWHA and HIKURANGI. Womens played HIKURANGI, METRO and NAVY COMBINED.

Over all our mens came 2nd, and our womens came 3rd. I will always be proud of our teams that make a effort to go and represent not only Onerahi Natives. But also Whangarei Association.

Special mention to Mys and Paige who came thru  to help our womens out and also Tarsh and Tanz who were there for us also.

It was great to see Noema back with us too. With that being said. Thank you all once again, thank you all twice, thank you all three times.
