Standard Criteria for Blues – Blue badge with silver writing
The student must represent Otago Boys’ High School in competition or events(s). Each sport has specific criteria to meet specific to that sport.
The student behaviour on the field must align to the school values.
The student behaviour must always align to the school values in the classroom and around the school.
The student has had a good attendance record at the school.
In the event of no Interschool competition being held in a sport, awards may still be made at the discretion of the committee.
Where a boy has, through injury, been unable to meet the criteria requirements for an award, the committee may approve an award if it is satisfied that a satisfactory standard would have been attained had an injury not occurred.
National Honours – Silver piping around the blazer
These are awarded to players in OBHS teams/Individuals who win a premier New Zealand Secondary School Title – 1st team only
Sportsmanship and living the values of the school. This includes in the classroom, school grounds and sports arena.
Gold Blazer Blue – Blue badge with gold writing
Exceptional Merit at the highest schoolboy level in particular activity concerned and adequate representation for the school. This is usually selection in a National Secondary Schools team or under 18-20 Level.
Sportsmanship and living the values of the school. This includes in the classroom, school grounds and sports arena.
