The NZPCA hold the Eventing Championships annually at a different venue each time. One team competes from each Area and is made up as follows:
A1 Riders - Competing at 110 cm
DC Riders - Competing at 105 cm
95cm Riders - Competing at 95 cm
There is also a competition for Individual riders in each division.
The competition comprises three phases:
Dressage, Cross Country and Jumping.

Otago/Southland area has been very well represented at these Championships with the team in 2012 winning the event and the 2013 team coming 2rd. The team that travelled to the North Island in 2014 came a  very creditable 9th.
Area Trials are held each season for those keen to qualify for the team. The HT committee would like to invite all riders to come to Area Trials -dont be shy!! Ask your Head Coach for information and advice and also ask those riders who have been before about their experiences.

At the most recent NZPCA Eventing Champs Otago Southland Area were placed 3rd.
