Swim Meet Check List


Handy tips to remember…

  • 1 or 2 pairs of togs
  • 2 towels
  • 1 or 2 pairs of goggles which fit properly
  • 1 or 2 swim caps
  • Water bottle
  • Healthy snacks
  • Keep your body warm for good racing
  • Always be respectful and courteous
  • Report to Team Manager for layout of swim meet and for your event numbers
  • Report to your Coach before and after each race
  • Report to Team Manager before exiting the facility
  • Remove all your rubbish from your area
  • Bring a deck chair if you are going to be a Team Manager or Spectator when seating is limited –
  • Timekeepers always get the best seats in the house
  • Please arrive half an hour prior to warm up

  • Being a Volunteer is easy peasy, an opportunity to participate on the day, provides an opportunity for your older or experienced swimmer to "self manage" 
  • There are always three Timekeepers to a lane to ensure someone actually hits the Start button, and at quite a few swim meets the Timekeeper's prodicious chocolate fish comes into play... find out more, join us, give it a try, you might get hooked.
