The Scorpions have a massive following and we can boast one of the highest number of facebook followers of a League Club in NZ of over 5,500 and climbing , the pioneers who went before us put this Club on the map really well for ex members and supporters to still have an interest in what we are up to.

We are surrounded by much larger towns population wise but we hold our own and continue to contribute players to the Representative teams with Sio Siua Taukeiaho of Sydney Roosters, Kiwi and Tonga experiences our most recent export.  There are many like that coming through and as we continually develop and nurture our Coaches the future is looking very bright for our young breed.

2021 marks a significant period in the Scorpions history as we all look forward to cutting the ribbon to our brand new Club house in the form of the Sports Complex currently earmarked to commence building in November 2019.  Something new will bring about excitement and anticipation for our Members and the wider Community so we look forward to serving our sporting community from this Complex.  We are doing something new and fresh as a Sports Complex and as a way to sustain and maintain our Complex we will run a commercial laundrette from the site, open to the park users and neighbouring community with all proceeds going back to financially supporting all our Sports Clubs and the upkeep of our Complex.

One of the biggest assets of the Scorpions is the calibre of Volunteers who make the Club the success it is today, no job is less important than the other and my current crop of Executive, Club Management, Junior Club, CafĂ©, Life Members and those looking after our Teams are huge in giving of their time and expertise.  Our Saturdays starts before 7am and ends around 9pm and in-between those times you will always hear laughter over anything else.

Welcome again and look forward to keeping you all informed.
