Rowing is in a rebuilding phase at Rangitoto College and we are looking to increase the numbers of both girls and boys participating in this prestigious sport.  Students get the opportunity to row both sculling and sweep oar boats and have access to top coaches.  Rowing is a sport which requires dedication and commitment from both students and their parents. It involves early morning trainings and weekends away at regattas from October to March. As rowing is a summer sport it is fantastic for those students looking for a way to keep fit for their winter sport - especially Netball, Rugby, Football or Hockey.  It caters for both team minded and individually focused sports people, teaches essential skills like time management and co-operation, and is great fun too!
