Welcome to the website of the Riccarton Cricket Club.  

​​​​​​​Riccarton CC was established in 1905 and took over the old Midland CC which was based at Hagley Oval. This was part of a new club structure whereby the administrators had divided Christchurch into residential districts that included St Albans, Riccarton, West Christchurch and East Christchurch who joined Sydenham and Linwood.

The clubrooms is based at Hagley Park, while the home playing oval is at Upper Riccarton Domain, where we have a high quality pitch and excellent practice facilties.

Notable players include Dick Motz, Johnny Hayes, Alby Roberts, Dave Stead and more recently Gary Stead, Hamish Bennett, Shanan Stewart, Dean Brownlie and current Canterbury captain Cole McConchie.

Our top men's teams are in the Christchurch Championship and Division 1, while we offer Saturday afternoon social cricket and junior cricket for all keen players.
