RCWTC's Next Tramp:

Sat 8th June - Dawson Falls to Manganui
This Tramp takes us from the Dawson Falls Visitor Center up to the Manganui Ski Area, passing Wilkies Pools on the way, and the recently opened 100m long and 50m high Manganui Gorge Suspension Bridge.
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Cost: $18
Leader(s): Willem Doodeman Beamsley, TBC
Gradient & Track Standard: Tramping Track standard, steady climbs but we do gain about 600m elevation over the day
Dogs Allowed: No

RCWTC's Next Local Walk:

Sunday 26th May: South Mole Walk

Following on from our visit to the North Mole earlier this month. We will now walk along South Beach to the South Mole, returning the way we came back along the beach
Meeting Location: South Beach car park at the end of the gravel road past the airport
Time: 3pm
Walk Duration: 1.5hrs
Gradient & Track Standard: Along the beach, with a little bit of sand dunes
Dogs Allowed: yes

​​​​​​​n.b. if the weather is not suitable for a beach walk or the access road is to rough, an alternative walk will be arranged

Notices: 

  • The Westmere Lake Walk has been pushed back a week to the 16th June, to avoid a clash being on the same weekend as the Dawson Falls to Manganui Tramp
